Additional Information

Alternative name CACNA2D3
UniProt Q8IZS8
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human CACNA2D3 conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is identical in mouse and rat.
Format Lyophilized
Isotype IgG
Description FUNCTION: The alpha-2/delta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels regulates calcium current density and activation/inactivation kinetics of the calcium channel. Acts as a regulatory subunit for P/Q-type calcium channel (CACNA1A), N-type (CACNA1B), L-type (CACNA1C OR CACNA1D) but not T-type (CACNA1G). Subcellular location: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein Miscellaneous: In contrast to CACNA2D1 and CACNA2D2, it does not bind gabapentin, an antiepileptic drug. Also known as: Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-3, Voltage-gated calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-3.
Specificity Appears to be specific for CACNA2D3.

Application Details

Application Notes IHC, WB. A concentration of 10-50 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Purity IgG
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Restrictions For Research Use only
