Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the internal region of human Calcipressin 1 (RCAN1, MCIP1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide shares 97% identity with rat and mouse sequence.
Specificity Specific for CACNA2D1.
Purity IgG
Alternative Name Calcipressin 1 (RCAN1, MCIP1)
Background Function: Inhibits calcineurin-dependent transcriptional responses by binding to the catalytic domain of calcineurin A. Could play a role during central nervous system development.
Tissue specificity: Highly expressed heart, brain and skeletal muscle. Also expressed in all other tissues. Also known as: Calcipressin-1, Calcipressin1, Regulator of calcineurin 1, Down syndrome critical region protein 1, Myocyte-enriched calcineurin-interacting protein 1, MCIP1, Adapt78, ADAPT78, CSP1, DSC1, DSCR1, RCAN1.
UniProt Q9ERS3
Application Notes A concentration of 10-50 µg/mL is recommended.
The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
Format Lyophilized
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Storage -20 °C
Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20 °C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8 °C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability.
Expiry Date 12 months
