Immunogen A synthetic peptide from mouse Syntaxin-7 (STX7, Syn7, Syntaxin 7) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen.

Specificity Specific for Syntaxin-7.
Alternative Name Syntaxin 7 (STX7 Antibody Abstract)
Background Function: May be involved in protein trafficking from the plasma membrane to the early endosome (EE) as well as in homotypic fusion of endocytic organelles. Mediates the endocytic trafficking from early endosomes to late endosomes and lysosomes.
Subunit: Forms a SNARE complex with VTI1B, STX8 and VAMP8 which functions in the homotypic fusion of late endosomes. Interacts with VPS33A. Found in a complex with VAMP8 and VTI1B in the liver. Part of the SNARE core complex containing VAMP8, STX8 and VTI1B. Interacts with VPS11, VPS16 and VPS18.
Subcellular location: Early endosome membrane, Single-pass type IV membrane protein. Also known as: Syntaxin-7, STX7, Syn7.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
