Immunogen Peptide from C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_038478.2 Genename: BAZ2B
Specificity This antibody detects BAZ2B at C-term. Species Reactivity: Tested: Human Expected from sequence similarity: Mouse, Rat, Cow
Purification Ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide
Alternative Name BAZ2B
Background BAZ2B may play a role in transcriptional regulation interacting with ISWI. It is expressed at varying levels in several tissues, whereas a smaller transcript was expressed specifically in testis.
Alternate names: Bromodomain adjacent to zinc finger domain protein 2B, KIAA1476, hWALp4
Gene ID 29994
NCBI Accession NP_038478.2
UniProt Q9UIF8
Research Area Chromatin and Nuclear Signaling, Transcription Factors
Application Notes Peptide ELISA: Limit dilution 1: 4000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 35kDa band in Testis and Brainlysates after 0.3µg/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find anexplanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 221kDaaccording to NP_038478. The 35kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with theimmunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have anyresults been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splicevariants/modified forms been reported?Immunohistochemistry: 1-2 µg/ml. In paraffin embedded Human Small Intestine showsprimarily nuclear staining in a number of cells of the lamina propria. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
