Immunogen Peptide with sequence C-QVLTKNKDNHN, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence
Specificity This antibody reacts to DCP1A. Species Reactivity: Tested: Human. Expected from sequence similarity: Mouse, Rat.
Purification Affinity chromatography
Alternative Name DCP1A
Background Dcp1a is necessary for the degradation of mRNAs, both in normal mRNA turnover and in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay. Removes the 7-methyl guanine cap structure from mRNA molecules, yielding a 5'-phosphorylated mRNA fragment and 7m-GDP. Contributes to the transactivation of target genes after stimulation by TGFB1. Dcp1a binds DCP1B, DCP2, RENT1 and SMAD4 and forms part of a cytoplasmic complex containing proteins involved in mRNA decay, including XRN1 and LSM1.
Alternate names: SMIF, Smad4-interacting transcriptional co-activator, Transcription factor SMIF, mRNA- decapping enzyme 1A
Gene ID 55802
NCBI Accession 9606
UniProt Q9NPI6
Application Notes Peptide ELISA: 1/4000. Western Blot: 1 - 3 µg/ml. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
