  1. Data suggest that enhanced survival of normal prostate epithelial cells (PNT1A cell line) in presence of either or both angiotensin II (Ang II) and relaxin 2 (RLN2 (show RLN1 ELISA Kits)) appears to be associated with increased ratio of BCL2 (show BCL2 ELISA Kits)/BAX (show BAX ELISA Kits) messenger RNA expression; thus, Ang II (show AGT ELISA Kits) and/or RLN2 (show RLN1 ELISA Kits) appear to be involved in regulation of apoptosis in prostate epithelium.

  2. increasing the serum levels of AngII increased the risk of acute myocardial infarction (AMI (show CFD ELISA Kits)); the risk of AMI (show CFD ELISA Kits) increased when the serum levels of AngII and KLK1 (show KLK1 ELISA Kits) simultaneously increased; individuals with the combined genotypes of ACE (show ACE ELISA Kits) DD and KLK1 (show KLK1 ELISA Kits) GG showed increased risk of AMI (show CFD ELISA Kits) compared with those with the combined genotypes of ACE (show ACE ELISA Kits) II and KLK1 (show KLK1 ELISA Kits) AA

  3. genetic association study and meta-analysis revealed a significant association between M235T polymorphism of angiotensinogen (show AGT ELISA Kits) and myocardial infarction risk

  4. The aim of this work is to assess the influence of the rs1799752 polymorphism of the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE (show ACE ELISA Kits)) gene and the rs699 polymorphism of the angiotensinogen (AGT (show AGT ELISA Kits)) gene on the in-stent restenosis in Polish patients with stable coronary artery disease.

  5. in cultured H9C2 cells and that CyPA (show PPIA ELISA Kits)/CD147 signaling pathway inhibition protects against Ang II (show AGT ELISA Kits)-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy.

  6. The circulating ACE2 (show ACE2 ELISA Kits) and Ang-(1 (show ANGPT1 ELISA Kits)-7) levels were related to neither rs4646155 nor rs879922 in female or male patients. In conclusion, the rs2106809 polymorphism of the ACE2 (show ACE2 ELISA Kits) gene may be a determinant of the circulating Ang-(1 (show ANGPT1 ELISA Kits)-7) level in female patients with hypertension, suggesting a genetic association between circulating Ang-(1 (show ANGPT1 ELISA Kits)-7) levels and ACE2 (show ACE2 ELISA Kits) gene polymorphisms in patients with hypertension.

  7. observed significantly higher prevalence of ACE (show ACE ELISA Kits) DD and AGTR1 (show AGTR1 ELISA Kits) 1166CC genotypes in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) patients. Also, 235TT genotype of AGT (show AGXT ELISA Kits) (M235T) was significantly associated with enhanced risk of the disease phenotype in HCM, DCM, and RCM (show Unc5c ELISA Kits).

  8. Angiotensinogen (show AGT ELISA Kits) expression is down regulated in human ileal Crohn's disease, particularly in the presence of inflammation and current cigarette smoking, implicating the mesenteric vasculature and mucosal hypoxia as co-factors in ileal CD pathogenesis.

  9. AGT (show AGXT ELISA Kits) M235T polymorphism was associated with SAH (show ACSM3 ELISA Kits) risk in Caucasian-Brazilians, and no association was detected with CAD (show CAD ELISA Kits)

  10. Protective role of g.5855G>A polymorphism in the development of Essential Hypertension in Indian population was reported. The results reflect possibility of ethnic variation in contribution of g.5855G>A polymorphism of the AGT (show AGXT ELISA Kits) gene to the disease.

  1. an inverse correlation was found between Ang-(1 (show ANGPT1 ELISA Kits)-7) level and tau hyperphosphorylation, a pathological hallmark of Alzheimer's disease, in cerebral cortex and hippocampus of SAMP8 mice.

  2. The inhibition of pathological autophagy in the heart in response to chronic Ang II (show AGT ELISA Kits) by Interleukin-10 (show IL10 ELISA Kits), and its implications, has been described.

  3. These results suggest that increased formation of AT1R (show AGTRAP ELISA Kits)-P2Y6R (show P2RY6 ELISA Kits) heterodimers with age may increase the likelihood of hypertension induced by Ang II (show AGT ELISA Kits).

  4. These data suggest dysregulation of renin (show REN ELISA Kits)-angiotensin system in acute pancreatitis as evidenced by altered Ang II/Ang-(1 (show ANGPT1 ELISA Kits)-7) levels induced by the imbalance of ACE (show ACE ELISA Kits)/ACE2 (show ACE2 ELISA Kits) activity.

  5. Results indicate that Ang III (show AGT ELISA Kits) produces nociceptive behavior similar to Ang II (show AGT ELISA Kits), and suggest that the phosphorylation of p38 MAPK (show MAPK14 ELISA Kits) mediated through AT1 (show SLC33A1 ELISA Kits) receptors on spinal astrocytes and neurons contributes to Ang II (show AGT ELISA Kits)- and III-induced nociceptive behavior

  6. SIRT1 (show SIRT1 ELISA Kits) and the axis AII (show ARG2 ELISA Kits)/AT1 (show SLC33A1 ELISA Kits)/NADPH-oxidase (show NOX1 ELISA Kits) regulate each other

  9. AGT (show AGXT ELISA Kits) contributes to body weight gain and liver steatosis through functions of the des (show DES ELISA Kits)(angiotensin I)AGT domain, which are independent of angiotensin II production.

  10. the augmented AGT (show AGXT ELISA Kits) released from apoptotic endothelial cells acts as a vital progenitor of Ang II (show AGT ELISA Kits) to accelerate vascular remodelling

Angiotensin II (Ang II) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The protein encoded by this gene, pre-angiotensinogen or angiotensinogen precursor, is expressed in the liver and is cleaved by the enzyme renin in response to lowered blood pressure. The resulting product, angiotensin I, is then cleaved by angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) to generate the physiologically active enzyme angiotensin II. The protein is involved in maintaining blood pressure and in the pathogenesis of essential hypertension and preeclampsia. Mutations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to essential hypertension, and can cause renal tubular dysgenesis, a severe disorder of renal tubular development. Defects in this gene have also been associated with non-familial structural atrial fibrillation, and inflammatory bowel disease.
