  5. BAFF (show TNFSF13B ELISA Kits) upregulates CD28 (show CD28 ELISA Kits)/B7 and CD40/CD154 (show CD40LG ELISA Kits) expression, and promotes the interactions between T and B cells in a BAFF-R (show TNFRSF13C ELISA Kits)-dependent manner

  6. CD40 in Muller cells is sufficient to upregulate retinal inflammatory markers and appears to promote experimental diabetic retinopathy and that Muller cells orchestrate inflammatory responses in myeloid cells through a CD40-ATP-P2X7 (show P2RX7 ELISA Kits) pathway.

  7. Taken together, our data demonstrate the importance of CD40 signaling in the conversion of CTL exhaustion and its ability to enhance PD-1 (show PDCD1 ELISA Kits) antagonist action in rescuing exhausted CTLs in chronic infection.

  8. Upon miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-155 overexpression, Cd40 expression was significantly upregulated with a negative correlation to the miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-155 primary target Ship1 (show INPP5D ELISA Kits) expression in mice.

  9. These results suggest that Il23a (show IL23A ELISA Kits) expression in DCs is synergistically triggered by the PG E2-EP4 (show PTGER4 ELISA Kits)-cAMP-PKA pathway and canonical/non-canonical NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 ELISA Kits) pathways and CREB (show CREB1 ELISA Kits) activated by CD40 stimulation.

  10. Results suggest that altered CD40 signaling and granulocyte recruitment in response to infection are responsible for the Ity5-associated Salmonella susceptibility of A/J mice.

Human CD40 Molecule, TNF Receptor Superfamily Member 5 (CD40) interaction partners

  1. CD40 signaling in adipose tissue macrophages regulates major histocompatibility complex class II and CD86 (show CD86 ELISA Kits) expression to control the expansion of CD4 (show CD4 ELISA Kits)(+) T cells.

  2. CD40 activation resulted in down-regulation of Thioredoxin (Trx)-1 (show TXN ELISA Kits) to permit ASK1 (show MAP3K5 ELISA Kits) activation and apoptosis. Although soluble receptor (show IFNAR1 ELISA Kits) agonist alone could not induce death, combinatorial treatment incorporating soluble CD40 agonist and pharmacological inhibition of Trx-1 (show MLL ELISA Kits) was functionally equivalent to the signal triggered by mCD40L.

  3. autologous CD4 (show CD4 ELISA Kits)(+) T cells that are exposed to EVs from CD40/IL-4 (show IL4 ELISA Kits)-stimulated CLL cells exhibit enhanced migration, immunological synapse signaling, and interactions with tumor cells.

  4. Cytokine expression upon simultaneous stimulation of TSHR and CD40 is greater than levels achieved with TSH or CD40L alone. Increased expression of CD40 by TSH is a potential mechanism for this process

  5. glatiramer acetate treatment also significantly reduced CD40-mediated P65 (show GORASP1 ELISA Kits) phosphorylation in RRMS patients, suggesting that reducing CD40-mediated p-P65 (show GORASP1 ELISA Kits) induction may be a general mechanism by which some current therapies modulate Multiple Sclerosis disease.

  6. Circulating sCD40L levels are increased in patients with cystic fibrosis (show S100A8 ELISA Kits) and P. aeruginosa infection

  7. Our results support an important association of rs4810485 in CD40 gene and rs763361 in CD226 (show CD226 ELISA Kits) gene polymorphism, combined effect of rs4810485 and rs763361 with increased risk of systemic lupus erythematosus.

  8. CD40 activity in thyrocytes is prominently mediated via NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 ELISA Kits).

  9. polymorphisms in the TP63 and CD40 genes are associated with lung cancer in a Chinese Han population

  10. Increased CD40 ligation and reduced B-cell receptor signalling leads to higher IL-10 (show IL10 ELISA Kits) production in B Cells from tolerant kidney transplant recipients.

CD40 Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor has been found to be essential in mediating a broad variety of immune and inflammatory responses including T cell-dependent immunoglobulin class switching, memory B cell development, and germinal center formation. AT-hook transcription factor AKNA is reported to coordinately regulate the expression of this receptor and its ligand, which may be important for homotypic cell interactions. Adaptor protein TNFR2 interacts with this receptor and serves as a mediator of the signal transduction. The interaction of this receptor and its ligand is found to be necessary for amyloid-beta-induced microglial activation, and thus is thought to be an early event in Alzheimer disease pathogenesis. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
