  6. High levels of IL-17 is associated with lyme disease.

  7. The presence of IL-17 in the synovial fluid identifies a substantial subset of primary end-stage osteoarthritis patients with distinct biological and clinical features. Stratification of patients on the basis of IL-17 may identify those responsive to therapeutic targeting.

  8. observed inverse relationship between the circulating levels of IFN-gamma (show IFNG ELISA Kits) and IL-17 together with the reduction in the levels of memory-like CD4 (show CD4 ELISA Kits)+ T cells expressing IL-17 in children with SMA (show SMN1 ELISA Kits) may suggest possible relocation of these cells in the deeper tissues for their pathological effect

  9. Low levels of miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-635 and miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-578 expression were associated with high expression of IL-17A, suggesting that IL-17A and its targeting miRNAs contribute to the pathogenesis of OLP.

  10. Multiple studies provide ample evidence that IL-17A might contribute to pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis. [Review]

Mouse (Murine) Interleukin 17A (IL17A) interaction partners

  1. IL-17 A showed two distinct peaks of expression in the ischemic hemisphere: the first occurring within 3 days and the second on day 28 after stroke.

  2. this study shows that that OX40 (show TNFRSF4 ELISA Kits) stimulation inhibits IL-17 and reduces experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis

  3. this study shows that anti-IL-17 monoclonal antibodies treatment protects against allergic rhinitis

  4. our results demonstrated that IL-17A was involved in intracerebral haemorrhage-induced microglial activation and neuroinflammation.

  5. these findings demonstrate a new role of IL-17 in promoting autoimmunity in part through directly enhancing B cell proliferation, differentiation, and plasma cell generation.

  6. The suppression of nasal inflammation due of IL-17A deficiency in allergic rhinitis is partly responsible for the regulation of CCL7 (show CCL7 ELISA Kits) secretion and eosinophil infiltration, which may be regulated via the CCL7 (show CCL7 ELISA Kits)/CCR3 (show CCR3 ELISA Kits) pathway.

  7. IL-17A blockade led to an increase in the frequency of IL-17A-producing T-helper cell type 17 cells and gammadelta T cells in lung allografts, suggesting that IL-17A is a negative regulator of these T cells.

  8. this study shows that IL-17A contributes to asthma pathophysiology by increasing the capacity of IL-13 (show IL13 ELISA Kits) to activate intracellular signaling pathways, such as STAT6 (show STAT6 ELISA Kits) activation

  9. MMP-9 (show MMP9 ELISA Kits) mediates IL-17's capacity to inhibit myoblast differentiation during inflammatory diseases

Pig (Porcine) Interleukin 17A (IL17A) interaction partners

  1. At week 15, skin cell infiltrates from pigs with crusted scabies had significantly higher CD8 (show CD8A ELISA Kits)+ T cell, gammadelta T cell and IL-17+ cell numbers than those with ordinary scabies. Peripheral IL-17 levels were not increased, suggesting that localized skin IL-17-secreting T cells may play a critical role in the pathogenesis of crusted scabies development.

  2. Alterations in the IL-17 regulated pathway of porcine colon in response to dietary supplementation with seaweeds and yeast are reported.

  3. conclude that only two subpopulations of porcine WBCs are sources of IL-17 after non-specific stimulation: CD3 (show CD3 ELISA Kits)(+)CD4 (show CD4 ELISA Kits)(+) and CD3 (show CD3 ELISA Kits)(+)gammadeltaTCR(+).

IL17A Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by activated T cells. This cytokine regulates the activities of NF-kappaB and mitogen-activated protein kinases. This cytokine can stimulate the expression of IL6 and cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX-2), as well as enhance the production of nitric oxide (NO). High levels of this cytokine are associated with several chronic inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and multiple sclerosis.
