The protein encoded by CLCA2 belongs to the calcium sensitive chloride conductance protein family. Additionally we are shipping CLCA2 Antibodies (17) and many more products for this protein.
Showing 4 out of 6 products:
CLCA2 links junctional adhesion molecule (show AMICA1 Proteins) EVA1 (show MPZL2 Proteins), to cytosolic signaling proteins that modulate proliferation and differentiation.
CLCA2 expression is higher in squamous cell carcinoma of the lung compared with adenocarcinoma.
Variants in CLCA2 were associated with an ileal involvement phenotype of Crohn's disease.
These results strongly suggest that CLCA2 is involved in the p53 tumor suppressor (show TP53 Proteins) network and has a significant effect on cell migration and invasion.
hCLCA2 is required for epithelial differentiation, and its loss during tumor progression contributes to metastasis.
the reduced expression of CLCA2 was frequently observed in various kinds of cancers including prostate cancer
Expression of hSK4 as well as hCACC-2 and hCACC-3 but not hCACC-1 was demonstrated by reverse transcriptase PCR on native nasal tissues.
immunohistochemistry clearly demonstrated colocalisation between hCLCA2 and integrin beta4
human CLCA2 protein and mRNA expression are elevated during epithelial stratification, suggesting that this protein plays a role in the growth of multi-layered corneal epithelia during both natural development and tissue cultivation.
hCLCA2 Is a p53 (show TP53 Proteins)-Inducible Inhibitor of Breast Cancer Cell Proliferation.
Stat3 (show STAT3 Proteins)-mediated regulation of expression of members of the calcium-activated chloride channel regulator (show CLNS1A Proteins) (CLCA) family of proteins during involution and mammary carcinogenesis.
basal NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins) activity is involved in the Ca(2 (show CA2 Proteins)+)-dependent regulation of mCLCA2 expression in a mouse keratinocyte line
The results imply that mCLCA5 may play a role in maturation and keratinization of squamous epithelial cells.
results establish mCLCA5 as the mouse ortholog of hCLCA2, demonstrate that mCLCA5 is a detachment-sensitive growth inhibitor, and suggest a mechanism whereby these channels may antagonize mammary tumor progression, metastases [CLCA5]
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the calcium sensitive chloride conductance protein family. To date, all members of this gene family map to the same site on chromosome 1p31-p22 and share high degrees of homology in size, sequence and predicted structure, but differ significantly in their tissue distributions. Since this protein is expressed predominantly in trachea and lung, it is suggested to play a role in the complex pathogenesis of cystic fibrosis. It may also serve as adhesion molecule for lung metastatic cancer cells, mediating vascular arrest and colonization, and furthermore, it has been implicated to act as a tumor suppressor gene for breast cancer.
