  1. SIRT3 expression was significantly associated with overall survival in gastric cancer (HR = 0.62, 95% CI = 0.43-0.89, P = 0.009) and hepatocellular carcinoma patients (HR = 0.56, 95% CI = 0.42-0.74, P<0.0001), cancer/non-cancer tissues in hepatocellular carcinoma patients (OR = 0.04, 95% CI = 0.01-0.16, P<0.0001), lymph node metastasis in breast cancer patients (OR = 2.20, 95% CI = 1.49-3.26, P<0.0001).

  2. he data demonstrated that linalool exhibited inhibitory effect on glioma cells through regulation of SIRT3-SOD2 (show SOD2 ELISA Kits)-ROS (show ROS1 ELISA Kits) signaling

  3. SIRT3 promotes the malignancy of non-small cell lung cancer, showing an oncogenic preference towards squamous cell carcinoma, and that could represent a novel target for treatment.

  4. These data demonstrate a critical role of SIRT3 in the control of myofibroblast differentiation and lung fibrosis.

  5. this article indicates a novel functional interplay between estrogen receptor beta (show ESR2 ELISA Kits) and sirtuin-3 counteracting reactive oxygen species production in TCam-2 cells. Our findings thus show that an important tumor-suppressive pathway through estrogen receptor beta (show ESR2 ELISA Kits) is target of E2, actually proposing a distinctive protecting action against seminoma.

  6. Hence, we conclude that SIRT3 exhibits neuroprotection via deacetylating and increasing mitochondrial enzyme activities.

  7. In conclusion, our data suggest that Sirt3 overexpression antagonize high glucose-induced apoptosis by controlling ROS (show ROS1 ELISA Kits) accumulation and ROS (show ROS1 ELISA Kits)-sensitive Akt (show AKT1 ELISA Kits)/FoxO (show FOXO3 ELISA Kits) signaling pathway in HK-2 (show HK2 ELISA Kits) cells.

  8. These results suggest that Sirt3 may inhibit retinal neovascularization by regulating the migration-, neovascularization- and autophagy-related factors expression. Thus we argue that Sirt3 may be a potential candidate drug for curing various eye diseases induced by retinal neovascularization.

  9. cells with low SIRT1 (show SIRT1 ELISA Kits) levels can maintain their resistance and survival by increasing SIRT3 expression.

  10. Our findings suggest that Sirt3 plays a tumor-progressive role in human RCC by regulating glutamine-derived mitochondrial respiration, particularly in cells where mitochondrial usage of cytosolic pyruvate is severely compromised.

  1. Data suggest that negative regulatory effect of Sirt3 on Nlrp3 (show NLRP3 ELISA Kits) inflammasome assembly in macrophages due to prolonged fasting occurs via Sirt3-mediated deacetylation of mitochondrial Sod2 (show SOD2 ELISA Kits), leading to Sod2 (show SOD2 ELISA Kits) activation; prolonged fasting blunts inflammasomes in wild-type mice but not in Sirt3 knock-out mice. (Sirt3 = sirtuin 3; Nlrp3 (show NLRP3 ELISA Kits) = NLR (show CXCR5 ELISA Kits) family, pyrin domain containing 3 protein; Sod2 (show SOD2 ELISA Kits) = superoxide dismutase 2 (show SOD2 ELISA Kits))

  2. Results reveal a potential mechanism by which SIRT3 deletion exacerbates post-MI cardiac dysfunction and impairment of cardiac recovery involving microvascular rarefaction and pre-existing coronary microvascular dysfunction.

  3. expression and activity of the NADase CD38 increase with aging and that CD38 is required for the age-related NAD decline and mitochondrial dysfunction via a pathway mediated at least in part by regulation of SIRT3 activity.

  4. Data show that resveratrol reduced mitochondrial reactive oxygen species (mROS) generation by promoting Sirt3 enrichment within the mitochondria and subsequent upregulation of FoxO3a (show FOXO3 ELISA Kits)-mediated mitochondria gene expression of PGC-1alpha (show PPARGC1A ELISA Kits) and SOD2 (show SOD2 ELISA Kits).

  5. These data demonstrate a critical role of SIRT3 in the control of myofibroblast differentiation and lung fibrosis.

  6. NMNAT3 (show NMNAT3 ELISA Kits) regulates the activity of SIRT3 via synthesis of mitochondria NAD.

  7. Data show that peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1-alpha (PGC-1alpha (show PPARGC1A ELISA Kits)) overexpression significantly increased the expression of sirtuin 3 (SIRT3) and sirtuin 5 (SIRT5 (show SIRT5 ELISA Kits)).

  8. These results suggest that the antiinflammatory phenotype of FABP4/aP2 null mice is mediated by increased intracellular monounsaturated fatty acids leading to the increased expression of both uncoupling protein 2 (show UCP2 ELISA Kits) and SirT3.

  9. despite pre-existing defects in cardiac function and mitochondrial respiratory capacity in SIRT3(-/-) mice, SIRT3 deficiency does not additionally impair cardiac function following myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury or following myocardial infarction

  10. In the cochlea, the expression of SIRT1 (show SIRT1 ELISA Kits), 3, and 5 (both mRNA and protein) was decreased in the old mice

Cow (Bovine) Sirtuin 3 (SIRT3) interaction partners

  1. The results indicate that the variations in the class I sirtuin (show SIRT1 ELISA Kits) genes and their corresponding genotypes may be considered as molecular markers for economic traits in cattle breeding.

  2. The expression profile of sirtuin 1 (show SIRT1 ELISA Kits) and sirtuin 3 in the liver, muscle, and adipose tissue of calves and bulls is reported.

SIRT3 Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined\; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. The protein encoded by this gene is included in class I of the sirtuin family. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different proteins have been described for this gene.
