Alternative Name GnRH Receptor / GNRHR
Background Gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) receptor is a protein of 54-60 kDa. GnRH receptor contains seven hydrophobic transmembrane domains connected by hydrophilic extracellular and intracellular loops characteristic of G-protein coupled receptors. GnRH stimulates the gonadotrophs of the anterior pituitary to secrete luteinizing hormone (LH) as well as follicle-stimulated hormone (FSH). The receptor contains of seven hydrophobic transmembrane domains connected by hydrophillic extracellular, and intracellular loops characteristic of G-protein coupled receptors.
Alternate names: GRHR, GnRH-R, Gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor
Gene ID 2798
NCBI Accession NP_000397.1
UniProt P30968
Application Notes Immunohistochemistry on Frozen Tissues. (Conditions described by customer: use antibody at 8 µg/ml for 60 min at RT. Staining offormalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 1 mM EDTA, pH 8.0, for 10-20 min. ,followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. ). Western Blot. ELISA. Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
