Immunogen Recombinant human IRF-5 (176-240 aa) purified from E. coli
Clone 10T1
Isotype IgG1
Specificity The antibody recognizes Human and Mouse Interferon Regulatory Factor 5 (IRF-5). Other species not tested.
Purification Protein-G affinity chromatography
Alternative Name IRF5
Background IRF-5 is a member of IRF family, which plays a critical role in the regulation of genes induced by viral infection, immunostimulation and cell growth regulation. The expression of IRF-5 is limited to lymphoid organs, dendritic cells, and peripheral blood lymphocytes, but is not expressed in numerous leukemia and lymphoma cell lines. Three IRFs(IRF-3, IRF-5, IRF-7) function as direct transducers of virus-mediated signaling and play a critical role in the expression of type I interferon genes and some chemokines.Synonyms: IRF-5, Interferon regulatory factor 5
Gene ID 3663
UniProt Q13568
Research Area Chromatin and Nuclear Signaling, Transcription Factors, Innate Immunity, Cytokines
Application Notes ELISA. Western blot (1/500 - 1/1,000). Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.

anti-Interferon Regulatory Factor 5 (IRF5) (AA 176-240) antibody Western blot analysis The extracts of Ramos, THP-1, A20 and NIH3T3 were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with anti-human IRF5 antibody (1:1,000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.
