Immunogen Peptide with sequence GKCRQLSRLCRNHCR, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_054883.3, NP_659003.1, NP_001158077.1.
Blocking Peptide Blocking peptide for this product available: ABIN370154
Specificity NP_054883.3, NP_659003.1and NP_001158077.1 are variants that represent the same protein.
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name Dysadherin (FXYD5 Antibody Abstract)
Background Synonyms: FXYD5, dysadherin, FXYD domain containing ion transport regulator 5, RIC, IWU1, IWU-1, dysad, HSPC113, KCT1, OIT2, PRO6241, FXYD domain-containing ion transport regulator 5, keratinocytes associated transmembrane protein 1, DYSAD, HSPC113
Gene ID 53827
NCBI Accession NP_659003, NP_001158077, NP_054883
Research Area Signaling, Cytoskeleton, Microfilaments
Pathways
Application Notes ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:8000.
Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 38 kDa band in Human Spleen lysate and an approx 26 kDa in Human Lung lysate after 1 µg/mL antibody staining. The bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. Please note that according to the literature this protein is O-glycosylated (PMID: 12672699), which may explain the different sizes of bands we observe given the calculated size of 19.5 kDa according to NP_054883 and NP_659003.
