Immunogen Peptide with sequence CPEVIRGEKYDGRKAD, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_003948.2.
Blocking Peptide Blocking peptide for this product available: ABIN369540
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name BRSK2 / STK29 (BRSK2 Antibody Abstract)
Background Synonyms: BRSK2, SAD1, STK29, PEN11B, C11orf7, BR serine/threonine kinase 2, serine/threonine kinase 29, homolog of SAD-1 (C. elegans), chromosome 11 open reading frame 7, chromsosome 11 open reading frame 7, FLJ41362, protein kinase SAD1B, serine/threonine kinase SAD-A
Gene ID 9024, 75770, 293631
NCBI Accession NP_003948
Pathways
Application Notes ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:8000.
Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at approx 50-55 kDa and 15 kDa in human brain, mouse brain and rat brain lysates after 0.5 µg/mL antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given the calculated size of 74.7 kDa according to NP_003948.2. Both detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide (and BLAST results with the immunizing peptide sequence did not identify any other proteins to explain the bands).
