- Background
- The 24F monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with CD86 (B7-2), a 90 kDA surface receptor present on antigen presenting cells and activated B and T cells. CD86 is a ligand for CD28 and CD152 and plays an essential role in B cell-T cell costimulatory interactions. The 24F antibody is capable of blocking the co-stimulatory activity of CD86.
