Immunogen A synthetic peptide from aa region 850-900 the of human KCNH2 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The antigen is homologous in mouse and rat.

Background Function: Pore-forming (alpha) subunit of voltage-gated inwardly rectifying potassium channel. Channel properties are modulated by cAMP and subunit assembly. Mediates the rapidly activating component of the delayed rectifying potassium current in heart (IKr).
Subcellular location: Membrane, Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Isoform 1 is expressed in heart, brain and testis and at low levels in lung. Isoform 3 is expressed predominantly in heart. The expression of isoform 2 is low in all tissues tested. Also known as: Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily H member 2, Voltage-gated potassium channel subunit Kv11.1, Ether-a-go-go-related gene potassium channel 1, H-ERG, Erg1, Ether-a-go-go-related protein 1, Eag-related protein 1, eag homolog, ERG, ERG1, HERG, HERG1.

Reconstitution Reconstitute in 500 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Handling Advice Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.

Storage Comment Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
