Immunogen This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the N-term region of human GCN5.
Isotype Ig
Specificity This antibody is specific to GCN5 (N-term).
Purification Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS.
Alternative Name KAT2A / GCN5L2
Background GCN5 functions as a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) to promote transcriptional activation. Acetylation of histones gives a specific tag for epigenetic transcription activation. This protein has significant histone acetyltransferase activity with core histones, but not with nucleosome core particles.Synonyms: General control of amino acid synthesis protein 5-like 2, HGCN5, Histone acetyltransferase GCN5, Histone acetyltransferase KAT2A, HsGCN5, Lysine acetyltransferase 2A, STAF97
Gene ID 2648, 9606
UniProt Q92830
Application Notes ELISA: 1/1,000. Western Blot: 1/50-1/100.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
