Immunogen This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide at the C-term of human THPO.
Isotype Ig
Specificity This antibody reacts to Thrombopoietin.
Purification Prepared by Saturated Ammonium Sulfate (SAS) precipitation followed by dialysis against PBS
Alternative Name Thrombopoietin
Background Megakaryocytopoiesis is the cellular development process that leads to platelet production. THPO is a humoral growth factor that is necessary for megakaryocyte proliferation and maturation, as well as for thrombopoiesis. It is the ligand for MLP/C_MPL, the product of myeloproliferative leukemia virus oncogene.Synonyms: C-mpl ligand, MGDF, Megakaryocyte colony-stimulating factor, Megakaryocyte growth and development factor, Myeloproliferative leukemia virus oncogene ligand, THPO
