Background APPL is involved in the regulation of cell proliferation, and in the crosstalk between the adiponectin signalling and insulin signalling pathways. The APPL binds to RAB5A/Rab5 through N-terminal domain. This interaction is essential for its recruitment to endosomal membranes as well as its role in cell proliferation.

Application Notes Peptide ELISA: 1/64000. Western Blot: 0.3-1 µg/ml. Approx 80kDa band observed in Rat Aortic Smooth SkeletalMuscle Cells (lane 1), intensity increased after infection with Human APPL1 adenovirus for48h (lane 2). Calculated MW of 79.7kDa according to NP_036228.1. The blot wasco-labeled with Tubulin-specific antibodies as a loading control. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
