Immunogen This VE Cadherin antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 106-134 AA from the N-terminal region of human VE Cadherin.
Clone RB13659
Isotype Ig
Specificity This CDH5 (N-term) antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 113~142 amino acids from the N-term of human CDH5.
Purification This antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification.
Alternative Name VE Cadherin (CDH5)
Background CDH5 is a classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily and is located in a six-cadherin cluster in a region on the long arm of chromosome 16 that is involved in loss of heterozygosity events in breast and prostate cancer. It is a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein comprised of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. Functioning as a classic cadherin by imparting to cells the ability to adhere in a homophilic manner, the protein may play an important role in endothelial cell biology through control of the cohesion and organization of the intercellular junctions.

anti-Cadherin 5 (CDH5) (N-Term), (AA 106-134) antibody Western blot analysis of anti-CDH5 Pab (ABIN389186) in 293 cell line lysates (35 µg/lane). CDH5(arrow) was detected using the purified polyclonal antibody (1:60 dilution).
anti-Cadherin 5 (CDH5) (N-Term), (AA 106-134) antibody (2) Flow cytometric analysis of 293 cells using VE Cadherin Antibody (CDH5) (N-term)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
