ADORA2A
Reactivity: Human
WB
Host: Rabbit
Polyclonal
unconjugated
Application Notes
Western blot: 1/1000-1/5000. Flow Cytometry. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin Sections): 5 μg/mL. Immunohistochemistry (4 % Paraformaldehyde): 1 μg/mL. This antibody was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigenretrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides wereincubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkalinephosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

The A2a Adenosine Receptor is a major target of caffeine. This receptor inhibits cell aggregation, induces vasodilation, and downregulates inflammation. This gene encodes a protein which is one of several receptor subtypes for adenosine. The activity of the encoded protein, a G protein coupled receptor family member, is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase. The encoded protein is abundant in basal ganglia, vasculature and platelets and it is a major target of caffeine.Synonyms: ADORA2, ADORA2A
