Immunogen Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunizing with a synthetic peptide corresponding to C-terminal residues of human CES2(Carboxylesterase 2 precursor)
Purification Purified by antigen-specific affinity chromatography.
Background CES2(Carboxylesterase 2)is involved in the detoxification of xenobiotics and in the activation of ester and amide prodrugs. CES2 shows high catalytic efficiency for hydrolysis of 4-methyumbelliferyl acetate, heroin and 6-monoacetylmorphine. CES2 is preferentially expressed in intestine with moderate expression in liver. Within the intestine, highest expression is found in small intestine with lower expression in colon and rectum.
Research Area Signaling, Metabolism
Application Notes ELISA, Western blotting: 1µg/ml for 2hrs.
