  1. this is the first report of bile acid derivatives able to antagonize GPBAR1 and and farnesoid X receptor (show xpr1 Antibodies) (FXR (show NR1H4 Antibodies)) modulatory activity.

  2. Two were novel mutations: p.E134* and p.T503fs of FZD4 (show FZD4 Antibodies) lead to the loss of FZD4 (show FZD4 Antibodies) activity.

  3. Letter: FZD4 (show FZD4 Antibodies)+ and FZD4 (show FZD4 Antibodies)- melanocytes were significantly lower in hair follicles of patients with rhododenol-induced leukoderma.

  4. These findings identify TGR5 as a suppressor of gastric cancer cell proliferation and migration

  5. Because elevated levels of circulatory LPS (show IRF6 Antibodies) may contribute to the development of insulin (show INS Antibodies) resistance, the results from this study suggest that bile acids through the activation of TGR5 may have a role in the development of insulin (show INS Antibodies) resistance as well.

  6. TGR5 is a mediator of bile acid-induced cholangiocyte proliferation and protects cholangiocytes from apoptosis but may trigger proliferation and apoptosis resistance in malignantly transformed cholangiocytes, promoting cholangiocarcinoma.

  7. These structural, biophysical and cellular data, map Fz4 (show FZD4 Antibodies) and putative Lrp5 (show LRP5 Antibodies)/6 binding sites to distinct patches on Norrin (show NDP Antibodies), and reveal a GAG binding site spanning Norrin (show NDP Antibodies) and Fz4 (show FZD4 Antibodies) cysteine-rich domain.

  8. Collectively, these data suggest the involvement of TGR5 in PLD (show PLD Antibodies) and that TGR5 targeting in cystic cholangiocytes may have therapeutic potential.

  9. The relatively high prevalence of the p.[P33S(;)P168S] variant in ROP (show STXBP1 Antibodies) (retinopathy of prematurity) and intrauterine growth restriction suggests that it also may be a marker for increased risk of developing ROP (show STXBP1 Antibodies) and preterm birth.

  10. Mutations of FZD4 (show FZD4 Antibodies) accounted for the largest proportion, which could be directly applied to the testing strategy to start with screening for FZD4 (show FZD4 Antibodies) mutations.

Mouse (Murine) G Protein-Coupled Bile Acid Receptor 1 (GPBAR1) interaction partners

  1. The results suggest that TGR5 activation mediates cross-talk between alpha- and beta-cells by switching from glucagon (show GCG Antibodies) to GLP-1 (show GCG Antibodies) to restore beta- cell mass and function under hyperglycemic conditions.

  2. TGR5 is an important mediator of bile acid-induced cholangiocyte proliferation in vivo and in vitro. Furthermore, TGR5 protects cholangiocytes from death receptor-mediated apoptosis.

  3. miR (show MLXIP Antibodies)-26a is a target gene of bile acid receptor (show NR1H4 Antibodies) GPBAR-1/TGR5

  4. Impaired Itching Perception in Murine Models of Cholestasis Is Supported by Dysregulation of GPBAR1 Signaling

  5. Data show that the action of bile acids on -like peptide-1 (GLP-1 (show GCG Antibodies)) secretion is predominantly mediated by G protein-coupled bile acid receptor (show NR1H4 Antibodies) GPBAR1 (TGR5) located on the basolateral L-cell membrane.

  6. TGR5 appears to be crucial for protecting the regenerating liver from bile acid overload.

  7. Activation of TGR5 alleviates neuroinflammation and improves outcome in hepatic encephalopathy.

  8. XGB (show GTPBP4 Antibodies) increases BMR by TGR5-dependent mechanisms in mice

  9. GPBAR1 plays a role in secondary bile acid induced vasodilation via reglation of cystathionine gamma-lyase. The GPBAR1/CSE pathway might contribute to endothelial dysfunction and hyperdynamic circulation in liver cirrhosis.

  10. these studies reveal a signaling pathway downstream of TGR5 that modulates chemokine (show CCL1 Antibodies) expression in response to high-fat diet

Cow (Bovine) G Protein-Coupled Bile Acid Receptor 1 (GPBAR1) interaction partners

  1. TGR5 agonism induces NO production via Akt (show AKT1 Antibodies) activation and intracellular Ca(2 (show CA2 Antibodies)+) increase in vascular endothelial cells, and this function inhibits monocyte adhesion in response to inflammatory stimuli.

Rabbit G Protein-Coupled Bile Acid Receptor 1 (GPBAR1) interaction partners

  1. TGR5 has been linked to signaling pathways involved in metabolism, cell survival, proliferation and apoptosis, which suggest a possible role of TGR5 in cancer development.

GPBAR1 Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a member of the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily. This enzyme functions as a cell surface receptor for bile acids. Treatment of cells expressing this GPCR with bile acids induces the production of intracellular cAMP, activation of a MAP kinase signaling pathway, and internalization of the receptor. The receptor is implicated in the suppression of macrophage functions and regulation of energy homeostasis by bile acids. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein.
