Mouse (Murine) Interleukin 1 Receptor-Like 1 (IL1RL1) interaction partners

  1. Heligmosomoides polygyrus Alarmin Release Inhibitor (HpARI) prevents binding of active interleukin-33 (IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins)) to the IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins) receptor.

  2. this study shows that ST2 (show SULT2A1 Proteins) regulates early IL-13 (show IL13 Proteins) production in fungus-induced allergic airway inflammation

  3. mice deficient in the receptor for IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins) (Il1rl1-/-) demonstrated enhanced lung clearance of Aspergillus fumigatus

  4. This stuidy shown that the mRNA expression of IL-33 and ST2 receptors is increased in the CNS of Rocio virus-infected WT mice and that ST2(-/-) mice showed increased susceptibility to infection.

  5. Liver Treg cells show a high expression of ST2 (show SULT2A1 Proteins), a cellular receptor for tissue alarmin IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins), which is strongly upregulated in the liver of infected mice. These results illustrate the importance of IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins) in the suppressive function of liver Treg cells during Cytomegaloviruses (CMVs) infection.

  6. these studies establish a basal defect in eosinophilopoiesis in IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins)- and ST2 (show SULT2A1 Proteins)-deficient mice and a mechanism whereby IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins) supports eosinophils by driving both systemic IL-5 (show IL5 Proteins) production and the expansion of IL-5Ralpha-expressing precursor cells

  7. These results shed light on endogenous IL-33/ST2 signaling as a potential immune regulatory mechanism that serves to promote beneficial microglial responses and mitigate ischemic brain injury after stroke.

  8. Plasmodium berghei infection triggered a dramatic increase of IL-33 expression by oligodendrocytes, through ST2 pathway.

  9. Data, including data from studies using knockout mice, suggest that signal transduction via IL33 (show IL33 Proteins)/ST2L (show TMED1 Proteins) (interleukin 33/interleukin-33 (show IL33 Proteins) receptor) plays a cardioprotective role in myocardial remodeling under mechanical stress (which leads to left ventricular hypertrophy and heart failure).

  10. IL-33 acts as a potent immune modulator protecting the liver through activation of ST2(+) Treg cells and control of natural killer cells in immune cell-mediated hepatitis.

Human Interleukin 1 Receptor-Like 1 (IL1RL1) interaction partners

  1. The Il1RL1 rs950880 AA homozygote is an independent predictor of all-cause mortality in coronary artery disease and peripheral arterial disease patients.

  2. In a cohort of hypertensive heart failure subjects, soluble ST2 correlates significantly with indicators of right ventricular function.

  3. Data provide evidence that increased IL-33/ST2 levels in patients with chronic kidney disease are an indicator of increased inflammation, impaired endothelial functions, and cardiovascular events.

  4. Serum levels of IL33R were positively correlated with cognitive performance in patients with schizophrenia.

  5. Interleukin 1 receptor-like 1 (ST2/IL1RL1) is a biomarker for cardiac stress and heart failure, which can be associated with cocaine use. Data suggest that serum ST2/IL1RL1 levels are up-regulated by cocaine use; cocaine use appears to be associated with subclinical cardiac stress and damage outside of acute cardiac events; elevated serum ST2/IL1RL1 levels may serve as biomarkers for cocaine-induced cardiac complications.

  6. Preterm labor was associated with diminished expression of the alpha-chain (show FCGRT Proteins) of IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins) receptor on choriodecidual B cells.

  7. Study found that macrophages expressed ST2L with a membrane pattern. The membrane pattern of ST2L was strongly expressed if the macrophages infiltrating the shoulder region of the plaque had an epithelioid aspect suggesting its possible role in the pathogenetic mechanisms of atherosclerotic lesions progression and rupture.

  8. The higher levels of IL-33 and its receptor ST2 in tissue and serum reflect an active inflammatory state and may represent a potential biomarker for disease activity.

  9. The genetic risk score for rs1041973 and rs16924161 demonstrated a higher risk for SPT (show AGXT Proteins) positivity against B. tropicalis, the greater the number of risk alleles for both SNPs. Our findings demonstrate a robust association of genetic variants in IL1RL1 and IL33 (show IL33 Proteins) SNPs with allergy markers and asthma.

  10. Increased sST2 (show SSTR2 Proteins) and IL-10 (show IL10 Proteins) but not IL-33 (show IL33 Proteins) may be involved in the pathogenic process of IgAN.

IL1RL1 Protein Profile

Protein Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family. Studies of the similar gene in mouse suggested that this receptor can be induced by proinflammatory stimuli, and may be involved in the function of helper T cells. This gene, interleukin 1 receptor, type I (IL1R1), interleukin 1 receptor, type II (IL1R2) and interleukin 1 receptor-like 2 (IL1RL2) form a cytokine receptor gene cluster in a region mapped to chromosome 2q12. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
