More Proteins for MTA2 Interaction Partners

Human Metastasis Associated 1 Family, Member 2 (MTA2) interaction partners

  1. Authors identify non-canonical nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB (show NFKB1 Proteins)) signaling up regulated and it was directly linked with the tumor necrosis with MT2A (show MT2 Proteins) and pFADD genes. pFADD with MT2A (show MT2 Proteins) can inhibit the apoptosis and promote proliferation, of colorectal cancer cells.

  2. These results indicated there might be a tight correlation among MTA2, Ki-67 (show MKI67 Proteins) and hepatocellular carcinoma prognosis

  3. MTA2 is a crucial biomarker that is closely related with prognosis of colorectal carcinoma and also a potential molecular target for evaluating the prognosis and treatment of CRC (show CALR Proteins).

  4. MTA2 overexpression enhances colony formation and tumor growth of gastric cancer cells, but not plays important role in cancer cell migration and metastasis. IL-11 (show IL11 Proteins) is one of the downstream effectors of MTA2 in regulating gastric cancer cells growth

  5. MTA-2 protein may facilitate the invasive potential of non-small-cell lung cancer cells through the inhibition of the cell adhesion molecule (show MCAM Proteins) Ep-CAM (show EPCAM Proteins) and E-cadherin (show CDH1 Proteins), suggesting that it might be a potential therapeutic target in NSCLC.

  6. High MTA2 protein and mRNA expression is associated with glioma.

  7. MTA2 acts as a central hub for cytoskeletal organization and transcription and provides a link between nuclear and cytoskeletal organization.

  8. MTA2 depletion could significantly inhibit human breast cancer cell growth and metastasis, implying that MTA2 might be involved in the progression of breast cancer.

  9. Study demonstrates that hBD-3 (show DEFB103A Proteins) inhibits the progression of colon cancer in a paracrine fashion through downregulation of MTA2 expression.

  10. Mta2 and Tipin (show TIPIN Proteins) cooperate to maintain replication fork integrity, especially on regions that are intrinsically difficult to duplicate.

Mouse (Murine) Metastasis Associated 1 Family, Member 2 (MTA2) interaction partners

  1. Mta2 expression is up-regulated during testicular Sertoli cells phagocytosis.

  2. Sertoli cell-specific expression of MTA2 is required for transcriptional regulation of FSHR (show FSHR Proteins) gene during spermatogenesis.

  3. investigation of expression/role of Mta2 in zygote/blastocyst development: Mta2 appears to be only Mta (show DNMT1 Proteins) expressed in zygotes; Mta2 appears to control transcription/expression of H19 (show NCKAP1 Proteins) and Peg3 in blastocysts; Mta2 may be involved in genetic imprinting

  4. results suggest that GATA-3 (show GATA3 Proteins) interacts with MTA-2 to co-ordinately regulate Th2 cytokine and ifng (show IFNG Proteins) loci during T helper cell differentiation.

  5. Assignment of the metastasis-associated gene (Mta1 (show MTA1 Proteins)) to mouse chromosome band 12F and the metastasis-associated gene 2 (show MAG Proteins) (Mta2) to mouse chromosome band 19B by fluorescence in situ hybridization

  6. These results demonstrate the importance of FOG-2/MTA (show DNMT1 Proteins)/RbAp interactions for FOG-2-mediated transcriptional repression and further define the molecular interactions between the FOG (show APAF1 Proteins) repression motif and the NuRD complex.

  7. Mta2/NuRD is involved in modulating IL-4 (show IL4 Proteins) and IFN-gamma (show IFNG Proteins) expression in T cell immune responses

MTA2 Protein Profile

Protein Summary

This gene encodes a protein that has been identified as a component of NuRD, a nucleosome remodeling deacetylase complex identified in the nucleus of human cells. It shows a very broad expression pattern and is strongly expressed in many tissues. It may represent one member of a small gene family that encode different but related proteins involved either directly or indirectly in transcriptional regulation. Their indirect effects on transcriptional regulation may include chromatin remodeling. It is closely related to another member of this family, a protein that has been correlated with the metastatic potential of certain carcinomas. These two proteins are so closely related that they share the same types of domains. These domains include two DNA binding domains, a dimerization domain, and a domain commonly found in proteins that methylate DNA. One of the proteins known to be a target protein for this gene product is p53. Deacetylation of p53 is correlated with a loss of growth inhibition in transformed cells supporting a connection between these gene family members and metastasis.
