Human Polyclonal KREMEN2 Primary Antibody for EIA, WB - ABIN953114
Mao, Wu, Davidson, Marhold, Li, Mechler, Delius, Hoppe, Stannek, Walter, Glinka, Niehrs: Kremen proteins are Dickkopf receptors that regulate Wnt/beta-catenin signalling. in Nature 2002
The mRNA expression levels of DKK-1 (show DKK1 Antibodies) binding receptor LRP5 (show LRP5 Antibodies)/6 and Krm1 (show KREMEN1 Antibodies)/2 in SCs (show TWIST1 Antibodies) from patients with MM were significantly higher than those in myeloma cells and in SCs (show TWIST1 Antibodies) from healthy donors.
Bone formation was more reduced in Col1a1 (show COL1A1 Antibodies)-Krm2 than in Lrp5 (show LRP5 Antibodies)-/- mice, whereas osteoclast number was similarly increased in both genotypes in comparison with wild-type mice
effects of Krm2 on bone remodeling
Kremen (show KREMEN1 Antibodies) proteins are Dickkopf (show DKK1 Antibodies) receptors that regulate Wnt (show WNT2 Antibodies)/beta-catenin (show CTNNB1 Antibodies) signalling.
This gene encodes a high-affinity dickkopf homolog 1 (DKK1) transmembrane receptor. A similar protein in mouse functions interacts with with DKK1 to block wingless (WNT)/beta-catenin signaling. The encoded protein forms a ternary membrane complex with DKK1 and the WNT receptor lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6 (LRP6), and induces rapid endocytosis and removal of LRP6 from the plasma membrane. It contains extracellular kringle, WSC, and CUB domains. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed for this gene.
