Mouse (Murine) Chloride Channel Accessory 1 (CLCA1) interaction partners

  1. Clca1 is not required for mucus synthesis, structure and barrier function in the murine colon.

  2. mCLCA3 appears to modulate leukocyte response via IL-17 (show IL17A ELISA Kits) and murine CXCL-8 (show IL8 ELISA Kits) homologs in acute Staphylococcus aureus pneumonia which is well in line with the proposed function of hCLCA1 as a signaling molecule acting on alveolar macrophages.

  3. Together the data suggests that Ca(2 (show CA2 ELISA Kits)+) entry via the TRPC1 (show TRPC1 ELISA Kits) channels is essential for the activation of CaCC

  4. Findings suggest that increased expression of a single-gene, mCLCA3, could simulate an asthma attack, and its mechanism may involve mCLCA3 overexpression up-regulating IL-13 (show IL13 ELISA Kits) expression.

  5. PA-LPS (show TLR4 ELISA Kits)-induced MUC5AC and Clca3 expression is partly through Duox1 (show DUOX1 ELISA Kits)

  6. these findings argue against a role of mCLCA3 in Ca(2 (show CA2 ELISA Kits) )-activated Cl(-) channel-mediated Cl(-) secretion in murine respiratory epithelia

  7. murine chloride channel calcium-activated was discovered to be a lymphatic endothelial surface ligand for LFA-1 (show ITGAL ELISA Kits) and Mac-1 (show ITGAM ELISA Kits)

  8. a functional link between two distinct anion currents, ClC-3 (show CLCN3 ELISA Kits) and swelling-activated chloride current

  9. The large conductance potassium channel (show KCNAB2 ELISA Kits) beta-subunit (show POLG ELISA Kits) can interact with and modulate the functional properties of a calcium-activated chloride channel (show CLCA4 ELISA Kits), CLCA1

  10. beta(4) integrin ligation to its novel CLCA-adhesion partner is shown to be associated with FAK (show PTK2 ELISA Kits) complexing, activation, and signaling to promote early, intravascular, metastatic growth.

Human Chloride Channel Accessory 1 (CLCA1) interaction partners

  1. Increase in TMEM16A (show ANO1 ELISA Kits) activity occurred within minutes of exposure to CLCA1 or after a short treatment with nocodazole, consistent with the hypothesis that CLCA1 stabilizes TMEM16A (show ANO1 ELISA Kits) at the cell surface by preventing its internalization.

  2. Data show that calcium-activated chloride channel regulator 1 (CLCA1) and transmembrane protein 16A (TMEM16A (show ANO1 ELISA Kits)) co-localize and physically interact and that CLCA1 increases the level of TMEM16A (show ANO1 ELISA Kits) protein at the cell surface.

  3. inhibitor and siRNA transfection studies demonstrated an apparent effect of CLCA1 on ovarian cancer cell aggregation

  4. Results confirmed that the low expression of CLCA1 in CRC (show CALR ELISA Kits) was associated with tumorigenesis, early metastasis, and high chromosomal instability. Low expression of CLCA1 predicts recurrence and lower survival.

  5. These findings demonstrate the ability of hCLCA1 to function as a signaling molecule and activate macrophages, central regulators of airway inflammation.

  6. CLCA1 may contribute to promoting spontaneous differentiation and reducing proliferation of Caco-2 cells.

  7. CLCA1 expression is significantly related to mucus production in the airway epithelia of smokers and COPD (show ARCN1 ELISA Kits) patients, and may contribute to the development and pathogenesis of COPD (show ARCN1 ELISA Kits) by inducing mucus production.

  8. These data provide both a mechanistic basis for CLCA1 self-cleavage and a novel mechanism for regulation of chloride channel activity specific to the mucosal interface.

  9. Increased expression of hCLCA1 in allergic rhinitis was correlated with the expression of MUC5AC.

  10. in cultured nasal airway cells, Th2 type cytokines increased hCLCA1 (calcium-activated chloride channel 1) expression in Cystic Fibrosis (show S100A8 ELISA Kits) patients but not mucus expression

Horse (Equine) Chloride Channel Accessory 1 (CLCA1) interaction partners

  1. These data implicate CLCA1 in the expression of eqMUC5AC in horses; and suggest regulation by CLCA1 and epidermal growth factor receptor (show EGFR ELISA Kits) between horses with recurrent airway obstruction and those with milder degrees of inflammation.

  2. In this study, eCLCA1 protein and mRNA expression were quantified in airway goblet cells of horses with RAO (show AOC2 ELISA Kits) and controls using immunohistochemistry and laser microdissection followed by RT-PCR, respectively.

Pig (Porcine) Chloride Channel Accessory 1 (CLCA1) interaction partners

  1. pCLCA1 shares essential characteristics of hCLCA1, supporting the pig model as a promising tool for studying the modulating role of pCLCA1 in the complex pathology of cystic fibrosis (show S100A8 ELISA Kits).

  2. pCLCA1 expression may increase the sensitivity of preexisting endogenous Cl(-) channels to Ca(2 (show CA2 ELISA Kits)+) and cAMP agonists but apparently lacks inherent Cl(-) channel activity under growth conditions where endogenous channels are not expressed

Chloride Channel Accessory 1 (CLCA1) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes a member of the calcium sensitive chloride conductance protein family. To date, all members of this gene family map to the same region on chromosome 1p31-p22 and share a high degree of homology in size, sequence, and predicted structure, but differ significantly in their tissue distributions. The encoded protein is expressed as a precursor protein that is processed into two cell-surface-associated subunits, although the site at which the precursor is cleaved has not been precisely determined. The encoded protein may be involved in mediating calcium-activated chloride conductance in the intestine.
