The protein encoded by FASTK is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. Additionally we are shipping FASTK Antibodies (95) and FASTK Proteins (11) and many more products for this protein.
Showing 2 out of 4 products:
FASTK binds at multiple sites along the ND6 mRNA and its precursors and cooperates with the mitochondrial degradosome to ensure regulated ND6 mRNA biogenesis.
MIR-106a-5p functions as a tumor suppressor during the development of astrocytomas by targeting FASTK.
FAST expression on lung cells of hematopoietic origin is crucial in mediating lipopolysaccharide-induced neutrophil migration to the lung in transgenic FAST-deficient mice compared with wild type controls.
FAST is a survival protein that senses mitochondrial stress and modulates TIA-1 regulated changes in protein expression.
FAST K synergizes with TIA-1/TIAR proteins to regulate Fas alternative splicing
Nuclear FAST can regulate the splicing of FGFR2 transcripts.
In a well-established model of allergic pulmonary inflammation, FAST is a proinflammatory factor that modulates the function of lung resident hematopoietic cells to promote neutrophil recruitment and pulmonary inflammation.
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. This kinase was shown to be activated rapidly during Fas-mediated apoptosis in Jurkat cells. In response to Fas receptor ligation, it phosphorylates TIA1, an apoptosis-promoting nuclear RNA-binding protein. The encoded protein is a strong inducer of lymphocyte apoptosis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Other variants exist, but their full-length natures have not yet been determined.
