Human Human Serum Albumin (HSA) interaction partners

  1. Serum levels of albumin (and bilirubin) are reduced in anti-NMDAR encephalitis patients.

  2. Serum albumin level at diagnosis is an independent predictor of early mortality in the esophageal cancer patients.

  3. Data suggest that preoperative serum albumin may be related to gastric cancer (GC) patient survival and may be a prognostic predictor for such survival.

  4. Serum albumin is strongly associated with long-term mortality in readmitted medical patients. Persistent hypoalbuminemia during recurrent hospital admissions is associated with increased risk of long-term mortality.

  5. An inverse association was found between serum albumin and the severity of depressive symptoms in individuals who attempted suicide, older than 45 years.

  6. The CRP/Alb ratio was strongly associated with poor prognosis in patients who underwent surgery for esophagogastric junction and upper gastric cancer.

  7. Men and women with higher levels of glycated albumin (GA) were more likely to be old

  8. a high CRP/Alb ratio at POD 14 was an independent prognostic factor for poor overall survival (OS) . CRP/Alb ratio on POD 14 may be a useful prognostic factor in patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) who have undergone curative resections.

  9. Urinary albumin creatinine ratio is a more accurate biomarker of diabetic nephropathy when compared to both NGAL and IL-18.

  10. results reveal that glycation significantly impairs HSA affinity to liraglutide and confirm that glycation contributes to liraglutide's variable therapeutic efficiency, depending on diabetes stage.

  11. Serum albumin levels were negatively correlated with the depressive score of PANSS in patients with schizophrenia.

  12. An early post-operative serum albumin level <32g/L is an independent prognostic factor leading to an unfavorable overall survival.

  13. Data indicate that the high efficiency level of recombinant human serum albumin (rHSA( production lays a solid foundation for its use in industrial production.

  14. Here we showed that the ALBI grade was useful for predicting the prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer. The ALBI score is calculated using only the serum albumin and bilirubin concentrations.

  15. A novel insertion (c.1098dupT) in the albumin gene segregates with analbuminemia in a consanguineous family.

  16. Patients undergoing haemodialysis with a lower albumin level and higher CRP level have an increased risk of peripheral arterial disease.

  17. Sarcopenia is associated with systemic inflammatory response such as high CRP/Alb ratio, while the latter is an independent prognostic marker in patients with esophageal cancer

  18. relatively low serum concentrations of albumin may be an independent risk factor for Mild cognitive impairment in elderly.

  19. Albumin-globulin ratio in combination with CEA provides a more accurate indicator of poor prognosis and early recurrence in rectal carcinoma patients treated with preoperative chemoradiotherapy.

  20. Patients with steroid-refractory GI Acute graft versus host disease had higher fecal calprotectin levels and lower albumin levels than patients with steroid-responsive disease.

Human Serum Albumin (HSA) Antigen Profile

Protein Summary

Albumin is a soluble, monomeric protein which comprises about one-half of the blood serum protein. Albumin functions primarily as a carrier protein for steroids, fatty acids, and thyroid hormones and plays a role in stabilizing extracellular fluid volume. Albumin is a globular unglycosylated serum protein of molecular weight 65,000. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin which has an N-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from the rough endoplasmic reticulum. The product, proalbumin, is in turn cleaved in the Golgi vesicles to produce the secreted albumin.
