IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) receptor signalling in keratinocytes initiates a protective transcriptional programme that limits skin inflammation.
Frequency of IL-12B AA (rs6871626) genotype was increased in Ankylosing Spondylitis patients. Interleukin IL-12B AA (rs6871626) gene polymorphisms could serve as promising biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis in Ankylosing Spondylitis patients.
The demonstrated allelic expression imbalance supports the idea that the IL12B risk haplotype confers susceptibility not only to Crohn's disease onset but to also relapse through increased IL12B mRNA expression.
the present study IL-12B gene status was evaluated in 50 new sputum smear-positive pulmonary tuberculosis patients.
The rs17860508 polymorphism in the IL12B promoter region may influence the risk of developing ovarian endometriosis by altering the endometrial expression of IL12B of in Northern Chinese women.
In the study, 250 ONFH patients and 228 matched healthy controls from Shandong Province were recruited to evaluate the influence of interleukin-10 (IL-10 (show IL10 Antibodies)) rs1800872, IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) rs3212227 and tumor necrosis factor-(TNF-alpha (show TNF Antibodies)) rs1800629 polymorphism in osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH). IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) rs3212227 AC genotype confer genetically susceptibility to ONFH in the Chinese Han population.
The rs6871626 single nucleotide polymorphism in IL-12B is associated with the pathophysiology of Takayasu arteritis.
INSR (show INSR Antibodies) rs1051690 SNP is associated with increased risk of gastric cancer, while polymorphisms in IL12B, CCND1 (show CCND1 Antibodies) and IL10 (show IL10 Antibodies) genes are not linked with the presence of gastric cancer
The anti-EGFR (show EGFR Antibodies) viroplexes with IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) and salmosin genes exhibited the most effective therapeutic efficacy in a mouse tumor model, especially when combined with doxorubicin.
baseline serum IL-12 levels were significantly higher in those pediatric hematopoietic stem cell transplantation recipients who did not develop acute graft versus host disease
Results show the overproduction of IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies)/23p40 in dendritic cells, leading to Th1 (show HAND1 Antibodies) and Th17 programs in a mouse model of Yersinia enterocolitica-induced reactive arthritis.
this study demonstrates that regulation of IL-12p40 by hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha controls Th1 (show HAND1 Antibodies)/Th17 responses to prevent mucosal inflammation
the nuclear localized CA-VI (show CA6 Antibodies) B selectively promotes IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) expression by interaction with protein arginine N-methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5 (show PRMT5 Antibodies)), which reduces symmetric dimethylation of histone H3 (show HIST3H3 Antibodies) arginine 8 modification (H3R8me2s) at Il12 (show IL12A Antibodies) promoters to facilitate chromatin accessibility, selectively enhancing c-Rel (show NFkBP65 Antibodies) binding to the Il12b promoter.
The authors found that the expressions of the mRNAs of both IL-12p35 and IL-12p40 were significantly reduced in the oxygen-induced retinopathy retinas compared to that of the room air-raised control. The results suggest that IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) plays important roles in inhibiting pathological retinal neovascularization.
Data indicate that there was a differential transcription of 381 genes which changed greater than two fold in B1a of p40-/-IL-2Ralpha-/- mice.
this study shows that a systemic IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) primes intestinal cells that became more prone to develop inflammatory responses, which is long-lasting because intestinal cells maintain their inflammatory potential and their ability to aggravate colitis
this study shows that endosomal signalling by Lactobacillus acidophilus that leads to IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) production is inhibited by TLR stimulation from the plasma membrane
Irradiation-induced IL-6 (show IL6 Antibodies) can decrease IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) production through the inhibition of C-Rel (show NFkBP65 Antibodies) phosphorylation by the IL-6 (show IL6 Antibodies)/STAT3 (show STAT3 Antibodies) signaling pathway.
The IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) response by dendritic cells against S. aureus is highly growth phase dependent.
Data show that cysteine significantly reduced the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including TNF-alpha (show TNF Antibodies), IL-6 (show IL6 Antibodies), IL-12p40, IL-1beta (show IL1B Antibodies), and resulted in increased expression of the apoptosis initiator caspase-8 (show CASP8 Antibodies) and bcl2L1 (show BCL2L1 Antibodies).
The results showed that the expression of TNF-alpha (show TNF Antibodies), iNOS (show NOS2 Antibodies), and IL-6 (show IL6 Antibodies) in alveolar macrophages was up-regulated by stimulation with the recombinant Mce4A protein of M. bovis; in contrast, expression of IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies) was unaffected.[IL-6 (show IL6 Antibodies), IL-12 (show IL12A Antibodies)]
study investigated hypothesis that CD40 (show CD40 Antibodies) signalling is impaired in Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis(MAP)-infected macrophages; propose that MAP interferes with gene expression of iNOS (show NOS2 Antibodies) and IL-12p40 genes downstream of p38 (show MAPK14 Antibodies)
In rhesus macaques plasmacytoid dendritic cells in peripheral blood express IL-12p40 upon TLR-7 (show TLR7 Antibodies)/8 and TLR-9 (show TLR9 Antibodies) stimulation, which could potentially affect their response to vaccination and viral infection.
This gene encodes a subunit of interleukin 12, a cytokine that acts on T and natural killer cells, and has a broad array of biological activities. Interleukin 12 is a disulfide-linked heterodimer composed of the 40 kD cytokine receptor like subunit encoded by this gene, and a 35 kD subunit encoded by IL12A. This cytokine is expressed by activated macrophages that serve as an essential inducer of Th1 cells development. This cytokine has been found to be important for sustaining a sufficient number of memory/effector Th1 cells to mediate long-term protection to an intracellular pathogen. Overexpression of this gene was observed in the central nervous system of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), suggesting a role of this cytokine in the pathogenesis of the disease. The promoter polymorphism of this gene has been reported to be associated with the severity of atopic and non-atopic asthma in children.
