Immunogen Synthetic peptide surrounding amino acid 494 of human TrkA
Specificity The antibody detects 140 kDa TrkA. It does not cross-react with TrkB or TrkC.
Purification Affinity Chromatography
Alternative Name TrkA (NTRK1 Antibody Abstract)
Background TrkA, the high affinity Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) receptor, autophosphorylates on tyrosine to activate multiple effectors. Phosphorylation at Tyr490 is required for Shc association and activation of the Ras-MAP kinase cascade. Residues Tyr674/675 lie within the catalytic domain, and phosphorylation at these sites reflects Trk kinase activity.Synonyms: High affinity nerve growth factor receptor, NTRK1, Neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor type 1, TRK, TRK1-transforming tyrosine kinase protein, Trk-A, p140-TrkA
Gene ID 4914
NCBI Accession NP_001007793
UniProt P04629
Research Area Cancer
Pathways RTK Signaling, Neurotrophin Signaling Pathway
Application Notes Western blotting (0.5-4 μg/mL). Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
