- Specificity
- Present on some immature and some mature B cells. Its expression is greatly increased after B-cell activation in vitro (Kikutani et al. 1986). It is also found on tissue macrophages and on epithelial cells, but not on T cells, NK cells, monocytes, granulocytes and myeloid tissues (Dorken et al., 1989). One monoclonal antibody was shown to inhibit B cell proliferation. Source: A BALB/c mouse was immunized and SP2/0 cells were used for fusion with splenocytes.
