Immunogen Peptide with sequence CIRLDGAIRMQP, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_004484.1, NP_001032900.1.
Specificity This antibody is expected to recognise both reported isoforms.
Cross-Reactivity Mouse (Murine), Rat (Rattus), Dog (Canine), Cow (Bovine)
Purification Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.
Alternative Name ABAD / HADH2
Background Synonyms: HADH2, ABAD, ERAB, MHBD, HSD17B10, 17b-HSD10, hydroxyacyl-Coenzyme A dehydrogenase, type II, type 10 17b-HSD, AB-binding alcohol dehydrogenase, type 10 17beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase
Gene ID 3028
NCBI Accession NP_004484.1, NP_001032900.1
Application Notes ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000.
Western blot: Approx 25 kDa band observed in Human Brain lysates (calculated MW of 26.9 kDa according to NP_004484). Recommended concentration: 0.3-2 µg/mL. A minor band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at appr 38 kDa. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunising peptide.
