Immunogen Syntehtic peptide from the N-Terminus of Human MORF4L1 (NP_006782.1, NP_996670.1) . Genename: MORF4L1
Sequence APKQDPKPKF QEG-C
Specificity This antibody recognizes MRG15 and is expected to recognise Isoform 1 (NP_006782.1) and Isoform 2 (NP_996670.1).
Purification Affinity Chromatography
Alternative Name MRG15
Background MRG15 ia a component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complex which is involved in transcriptional activation of select genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 and H2A. This modification may both alter nucleosome - DNA interactions and promote interaction of the modified histones with other proteins which positively regulate transcription. This complex may be required for the activation of transcriptional programs associated with oncogene and proto-oncogene mediated growth induction, tumor suppressor mediated growth arrest and replicative senescence, apoptosis and DNA repair.
Alternate names: FWP006, HSPC008, HSPC061, MORF-related gene 15 protein, MORF4L1, MRG15, MSL3-1 protein, Mortality factor 4-like protein 1, PP368, Transcription factor-like protein MRG15
Gene ID 10933
NCBI Accession NP_006782
UniProt Q9UBU8
Research Area Cancer, Cell Cycle, Transcription Factors, DNA/RNA
Application Notes Peptide ELISA: 1/64000. Western blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 40kDa band in Human Liver lysatesand an approx 100kDa band in Human Heart lysates at 1ug/ml. Please note that currentlywe cannot find an explanation in the literature for the bands we observe given thecalculated size of 37.2kDda according to NP_006782.1. Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections: Human Uterus shows nuclear staining in theepithelial cells of the endometrial glands. Recommended concentration: 2 - 4 µg/ml. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
