The protein encoded by CELSR2 is a member of the flamingo subfamily, part of the cadherin superfamily. Additionally we are shipping CELSR2 Antibodies (59) and CELSR2 Proteins (7) and many more products for this protein.

Both CELSR2 and ING4 display increased cytoplasmic staining in breast cancer cells compared to benign epithelium, suggesting a possible role of both genes in the pathogenesis of human mammary neoplasia.
findings suggest a rare variant in CELSR2 as causative for idiopathic scoliosis in a family with dominant segregation and further highlight common variation in CELSR2 in general susceptibility to idiopathic scoliosis in the Swedish-Danish population
we report bi-allelic mutations in CELSR2 in a Joubert patient with cortical heterotopia, microophthalmia, and growth hormone deficiency.
no association was found between the SNPs of rs599839, rs464218 and rs6698843 at the CELSR2-PSRC1-SORT1 and the risk of coronary artery disease or ischemic stroke
CELSR2 in the cholesterol gene cluster shows a significant association with coronary artery disease and its single nucleotide polymorphism regulates plasma cholesterol levels.
The novel CAD-associated locus in the vicinity of the PSRC1 and CELSR2 genes on chromosome 1 probably enhances CAD risk through an effect on plasma LDL cholesterol.
The first signal, controlled by cadherin, EGF-like, laminin G-like, seven-pass, G-type receptor (Celsr) 2, Celsr3, Frizzled3 (Fzd3) and Van Gogh like2 (Vangl2) organizes multicilia in individual cells (single-cell polarity)
Celsr2-3 and Fzd3 regulate axonal navigation in the forebrain by using mechanisms different from classical epithelial core planar cell polarity, and require interacting partners other than Vangl1-2 that remain to be identified.
Study shows Flamingo (Fmi) and Frizzled (Fz) 8, members of noncanonical Wnt signaling, both express in and functionally maintain quiescent long-term hematopoietic stem cells.
Celsr2 and Celsr3 control the development and function of ependymal cilia; findings suggest that planar cell polarity signaling is involved in ependymal cilia development and in the pathophysiology of hydrocephalus, and possibly other ciliopathies
Developmental expression profiles of Celsr (Flamingo) genes in the mouse
Differential expression of the seven-pass transmembrane cadherin genes Celsr1-3 and distribution of the Celsr2 protein during mouse development
Upregulation of Flamingo1/Celsr2 gene expression in both early and chronic phases of enlargement in the granule cells of the hypertrophic dentate gyrus may correlate mouse Flamingo1/Celsr2 to the development of hippocampal sclerosis.
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the flamingo subfamily, part of the cadherin superfamily. The flamingo subfamily consists of nonclassic-type cadherins\; a subpopulation that does not interact with catenins. The flamingo cadherins are located at the plasma membrane and have nine cadherin domains, seven epidermal growth factor-like repeats and two laminin A G-type repeats in their ectodomain. They also have seven transmembrane domains, a characteristic unique to this subfamily. It is postulated that these proteins are receptors involved in contact-mediated communication, with cadherin domains acting as homophilic binding regions and the EGF-like domains involved in cell adhesion and receptor-ligand interactions. The specific function of this particular member has not been determined.
