Results showed that 90K destabilizes E-cadherin (show CDH1 ELISA Kits) and affects cell adhesion and invasion in subconfluent cancer cells via dissociation of the E-cadherin (show CDH1 ELISA Kits)-p120-catenin (show CTNND1 ELISA Kits) complex, suggesting that 90K drives less confluent tumor cells into the early steps of cancer metastasis.
Low LGALS3BP expression is associated with HIV infections.
Data suggest that serum levels of RBP4 and LGAL3BP are up-regulated after menopause when complicated by NAFLD (show TSC2 ELISA Kits) (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease); RBP4 and LGAL3BP may serve as biomarkers of NAFLD (show TSC2 ELISA Kits) in postmenopausal women. (RBP4 = retinol binding protein 4 (show RBP4 ELISA Kits); LGAL3BP = galectin-3 binding protein)
Serum Mac-2-binding protein expression predicts disease severity in chronic hepatitis C patients.
A higher pre-treatment WFA+-M2BP level was associated with an increased risk of HCC development in patients with undetectable HBV DNA under NA therapy.
the combination of 17-AAG and PI3K/Akt inhibitor would effectively suppress acquired resistance to 17-AAG. In conclusion, targeting of LGALS3BP-mediated-specific survival signaling pathway in resistant cells may provide a novel therapeutic model for the cancer therapy.
the serum M2BP-adiponectin complex is elevated in men with coronary artery disease
WFA + -M2BP from hepatic stellate cells induces Mac-2 (show LGALS3 ELISA Kits) expression in Kupffer cells, which in turn activates hepatic stellate cells to be fi brogenic.
The Mac-2BP may have a role in regulating the extracellular spreading and storage of the Wnts, thereby modulating their bioavailability and stability.
Our present results highlight the action of 90K on promoting degradation of mutant beta-catenin (show CTNNB1 ELISA Kits) lacking the phosphorylation sites in the N-terminus.
The relative abundance of PIBF (show PIBF1 ELISA Kits), LGALS1 (show LGALS1 ELISA Kits), LGALS3 (show LGALS2 ELISA Kits), LGALS3BP, and LGALS9 (show LGALS9 ELISA Kits) mRNA would display a differential expression pattern in the endometrium.
Using a mouse stasis model of venous thrombosis, we found that gal3bp and gal3 (show LGALS3 ELISA Kits) were localized on vein wall, red blood cells, platelets, and microparticles, whereas leukocytes expressed gal3 (show LGALS3 ELISA Kits) only.
These findings suggest a novel immunoinhibitory function for LGALS3BP that might be important for immune evasion of tumor cells during cancer progression.
Data give novel evidence that CyCAP regulates the post-translational modification of tissue transglutaminase (show TGM2 ELISA Kits) through its colocalization with calnexin (show CANX ELISA Kits) in endoplasmic reticulum.
CyC (show CYCS ELISA Kits)-AP is an important factor for the regulation of MMP-13 (show MMP13 ELISA Kits) expression
Cyclophilin C (show PPIC ELISA Kits)-associated protein is expressed in skin and during wound repair. It is regulated by IFNgamma and may function on immune defense in macrophages, lymphocytes, dermal fibroblasts and keratinocytes during wound healing.
CyCAP-deficient mice spontaneously and after challenge with carcinogen develop significantly more colorectal mucosal hyperplasia, an early stage in murine colonic carcinogenesis
The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. LGALS3BP has been found elevated in the serum of patients with cancer and in those infected by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). It appears to be implicated in immune response associated with natural killer (NK) and lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cell cytotoxicity. Using fluorescence in situ hybridization the full length 90K cDNA has been localized to chromosome 17q25. The native protein binds specifically to a human macrophage-associated lectin known as Mac-2 and also binds galectin 1.
