Overexpression of Pygo2 (show PYGO2 Antibodies) facilitated the expression of P-glycoprotein, which acts as a drug efflux pump, by promoting the transcription of MDR1 (show TBC1D9 Antibodies) at the MDR1 (show TBC1D9 Antibodies) promoter loci, resulting in acceleration of the efflux of paclitaxel in human glioma cells.
Saikosaponin D could enhance the sensitivity of MCF-7/Adriamycin resistance cells towards ADR (show AKR1B1 Antibodies) by down-regulating MDR1 (show TBC1D9 Antibodies) and P-gp (show ABCB4 Antibodies) expression.
Moreover, we found that genotypes rs34743033 3R/2R, rs16430 ins6/del6, rs1045642 CC or CT, and rs2032582 GG were beneficial predictors of clinical treatment outcome in AGC (show ACAN Antibodies) patients, suggesting some clinical implications in chemotherapy of a Chinese population.
Patients with both CYP3A5 (show CYP3A5 Antibodies)*3/*3 and MDR1 (show TBC1D9 Antibodies) G2677A who underwent renal transplantation had higher blood TAC (show IL2RA Antibodies) concentrations than those without those genotypes. Japanese patients should be carefully monitored for consideration of lower TAC (show IL2RA Antibodies) doses, because 24% of Japanese patients have double mutations.
In this meta-analysis, we summarized the existing data on the associations of ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) C3435T polymorphism with clopidogrel response, including biological and clinical outcomes in patients receiving clopidogrel antiplatelet treatment. The results show that the C3435T variant may increase the risk of bleeding in the Asian population, but no reliable findings were obtained about other outcomes.
Among two SNPs in CYP3A4 (show CYP3A4 Antibodies) and CYP3A5 (show CYP3A5 Antibodies) and 12 SNPs in ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) gene, an association with ovarian cancer risk was observed for ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) rs2157926 SNP only.
the allelic association of MDR1 (show TBC1D9 Antibodies) C3435T and the association of the MDR1 (show TBC1D9 Antibodies) 3435 CC genotype with risk of drug-resistance were significant among European population
Promoter methylation was found to be an important mechanism in gene regulation of ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) in parental cancer cell lines and their drug-resistant sublines.
This study provides evidence for three alcohol-induced ONFH susceptibility genes (NOS3 (show NANOS3 Antibodies), ABCB1 (show ABCB1 Antibodies) and IL23R (show IL23R Antibodies)) in Chinese males and polymorphisms of them may be associated with alcohol-induced ONFH risk.
Contribution of tumor endothelial cells to drug resistance: anti-angiogenic tyrosine kinase (show TXK Antibodies) inhibitors act as p-glycoprotein antagonists.
The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MDR/TAP subfamily. Members of the MDR/TAP subfamily are involved in multidrug resistance. The protein encoded by this gene is an ATP-dependent drug efflux pump for xenobiotic compounds with broad substrate specificity. It is responsible for decreased drug accumulation in multidrug-resistant cells and often mediates the development of resistance to anticancer drugs. This protein also functions as a transporter in the blood-brain barrier.
