Reactivity: Human
IHC, FACS, IHC (p)
Host: Mouse
Monoclonal
PE
Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: Detection Limit: 1/16000. Western Blot: 0.1-0.3 μg/mL. Approx 35 kDa band observed in human kidney and humanliver lysates (calculated MW of 35.5 kDa according to NP_002027.2). Immunohistochemistry: 3 μg/mL. In paraffin embedded human kidney, stains epithelialcells of renal tubules and endothelial cells of vessels. The granular staining is compatiblewith the endoplasmic reticulum association of the protein. This antibody has also beensuccessfully used on Huamn Lung showing endothelial staining. FACS: A customer has reported Successful staining of HEK293S-TetR transfected with DARCreceptor at a dilution of 1/1000. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

DARC is a non-specific receptor for many chemokines such as IL-8, GRO, RANTES, MCP-1 and TARC. It is also the receptor for the human malaria parasites Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium knowlesi. Polymorphisms in this gene are the basis of the Duffy blood group system.Synonyms: Duffy antigen/chemokine receptor, FY, Fy glycoprotein, GPD, Glycoprotein D, GpFy, Plasmodium vivax receptor
