Application
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
- Specificity
- Is specific to a 48 kD protein, which is identified as cytokeratin 16. Cytokeratin 16 is expressed in keratinocytes, which are undergoing rapid turnover in the suprabasal region. High concordance was found between the carcinomas immunostaining with the basal cell and the hyper proliferation related keratins.
- Purification
- Ig fraction

-
BALB/C mice were injected with a synthetic peptide from the C- terminus of human cytokeratin 16.
