Our data indicate that securin expression may serve as a strong and independent prognosticator of breast cancer outcome
PTTG1 mRNA expression levels in gastric tumor tissues were significantly higher than in the corresponding adjacent normal gastric mucosa.PTTG1 mRNA and protein expression are independent prognostic factors for gastric cancer patient survival.
Pttg1 may increase BC cell growth through nuclear exclusion of p27 (show PAK2 Antibodies), which highlights a novel molecular regulatory machinery in tumorigenesis of BC.
Data show that overexpression of c-myc proto-oncogene (show MYC Antibodies) protein (show MYC Antibodies) could prevent the metabolic shift induced by pituitary tumor-transforming gene (PTTG) knockwown.
Report feedback loop between PTTG1 targeting miRNAs, PTTG1 and p53 (show TP53 Antibodies) that promotes pituitary tumorigenesis.
knockdown of PTTG1 increased expression of integrin alpha 4 (ITGA4 (show ITGA4 Antibodies)), ITGA5 (show ITGA5 Antibodies), and integrin beta 1 (ITGB1 (show ITGB1 Antibodies)); otherwise, RhoA (show RHOA Antibodies) expression was significantly decreased
Data show that pituitary tumor-transforming 1 protein (PTTG1) is over-expressed in multiple myeloma (MM) patients and is associated with poor survival.
Silencing of PTTG could also inhibit tumor growth, invasion, and angiogenesis in vivo. Our data indicated that PTTG might be a potential target for glioma treatment
FoxM1 (show FOXM1 Antibodies) binds to PTTG1 promoter to enhance PTTG1 transcription, and FoxM1 (show FOXM1 Antibodies)-PTTG1 pathway promotes colorectal cancer migration and invasion
we demonstrated here the inhibitory effect of CACP (show PRG4 Antibodies) on the growth of H22 cells in vitro and in vivo, which may be through, at least partly, repression of PTTG1 and then followed by the inactivation of P13/Akt (show AKT1 Antibodies) and activation of p38 (show CRK Antibodies) MARK signaling pathways
PTTG1 is a new candidate maternal effect (show NLRP5 Antibodies) gene that may participate in the processes of oocyte maturation and zygotic genome activation during embryogenesis
PTTG is functionally required for hepatic fibrosis progression in an animal model of chronic liver injury, and thus a potential treatment target.
RasGrf1 (show RASGRF1 Antibodies) is an important upstream component of signal transduction pathways regulating Pttg1 expression and controlling beta cell development and physiological responses.
these results implicate Pttg1 in the regulation of homotypic spacing between specific types of retinal neurons.
Pttg1/securin has roles in branching morphogenesis of the mammary gland and suppression of mammary tumorigenesis
PBF (show PTTG1IP Antibodies) is the first protein to interact with the critical TH transporter MCT8 (show MCT8 Antibodies) and modulate its function in vivo
CSN3 (show CSN3 Antibodies) and CSN5 (show COPS5 Antibodies) are involved in oocyte meiosis by regulating degradation of Cyclin B1 (show CCNB1 Antibodies) and Securin via APC (show APC Antibodies)/C.
The genetically deleting Tff3 in mice altered down-regulated Pttg1 and up-regulated serpina3n expression, indicating a potential role of these factors during the development of presbyacusis.
data reveal that up to 9 months of age, Pttg1(-/-) retinas have a healthy morphology and normal photoreceptor function
Pituitary tumor transforming gene 1 (PTTG1), an oncogene (show RAB1A Antibodies), was the most up-regulated transcript in KLF6 (show KLF6 Antibodies)+/- liver. PTTG1 downregulation represents a novel tumor suppressor pathway of KLF6 (show KLF6 Antibodies).
Pituitary tumor transforming gene-null male mice exhibit impaired pancreatic beta cell proliferation and diabetes.
The encoded protein is a homolog of yeast securin proteins, which prevent separins from promoting sister chromatid separation. It is an anaphase-promoting complex (APC) substrate that associates with a separin until activation of the APC. The gene product has transforming activity in vitro and tumorigenic activity in vivo, and the gene is highly expressed in various tumors. The gene product contains 2 PXXP motifs, which are required for its transforming and tumorigenic activities, as well as for its stimulation of basic fibroblast growth factor expression. It also contains a destruction box (D box) that is required for its degradation by the APC. The acidic C-terminal region of the encoded protein can act as a transactivation domain. The gene product is mainly a cytosolic protein, although it partially localizes in the nucleus.
