Additional Information

Alternative name Immunoglobulin M
Immunogen Human IgM u chain
Format Lyophilized
Specificity This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using Human IgM coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-biotin, anti-Goat Serum, Human IgM and Human Serum. No reaction was observed against other Human heavy or light chain proteins.

Application Details

Application Notes Recommended Dilutions: This product has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Human IgM in a standard capture ELISA using Peroxidase Conjugated Streptavidin S000-03 and ABTS (2,2-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:3,000 to 1:17,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. Optimal titers for other applications should be determined by the researcher. Immunoblotting, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, immunomicroscopy as well as other antibody based assays using streptavidin or avidin conjugates requiring lot-to-lot consistency.
Concentration 1.0 mg/ml (by UV absorbance at 280 nm)
Buffer Stabilizer: 10 mg/ml Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) IgG and Protease free. Preservative: 0.01% (w/v) Sodium Azide. Buffer: 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2.
Storage Store vial at 4° C prior to restoration. Restore with 1.0 ml of deionized water (or equivalent). For extended storage mix product with glycerol to 50% and then aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of restoration.
