Description
Invertase hydrolyses the terminal non reducing beta D fructofuranoside residues in beta Dfructofuranosides. It is the enzyme that bees use to convert nectar into honey. Industrialand confectionary applications use yeast invertase to split sucrose into fructose andglucose and also to improve the shelf life of food products.
Specificity
This product was prepared from monospecific antiserum. Assay by immunoelectrophoresisresulted in a single precipitin arc against purified and partially purified Invertase[Candida]. Cross reactivity against Invertase from other sources is unknown.
Application Notes
Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and mostimmunological methods requiring high titer and specificity. This product has been assayedagainst 1.0 ug of Invertase [Candida] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidaseconjugated Affinity Purified anti-Goat IgG [H&L] (Goat) and (ABTS(2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes atroom temperature. A working dilution of 1: 10,000 to 1: 65,000 of the reconstitutionconcentration is suggested for this product. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
