Immunogen Papain solubilized HLA-A2. Spleen cells from immunised BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse NS1 myeloma cell line.
Clone BB7-2
Isotype IgG2b
Specificity This antibody recognises the HLA-A2 histocompatability antigen. The epitope recognised by this antibody has been studied extensively and would appear to include the carboxy-terminus of the alpha-2 helix and a turn on one of the underlying beta strands. This antibody may be used for the Flow Cytometric detection of HLA-A2 expression and has also been used for immunoaffinity purification of HLA-A2 molecules.
Purification Affinity Chromatography on Protein G
Alternative Name HLA class I A-2 alpha / HLA-A2
Background Human leukocyte antigens are highly polymorphic proteins that are involved in the presentation of antigens to the T cell receptor. There are two classes of HLA antigens, class I (HLA A, HLA B and HLA C) and class II (HLA D).
Alternate names: A-2 alpha chain, HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, HLAA2, MHC class I antigen A-2
Gene ID 100507703
NCBI Accession XP_003119274.1
UniProt P01892
Application Notes Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections. Recommended Positive Control: Tonsil. Flow Cytometry: 10ug/ml, Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10e6 cells or 100ul whole blood. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
