Description
GPR12 has been identified as a constitutively active Lysophospholipid/Lysosphingolipid receptor. GPR12 expression has been reported primarily in the central nervous system. Rat transcripts have been identified at low levels in testis and pituitary gland. ESTs have been isolated from human brain and eye libraries, as well as mouse brain, genitourinary tract, and liver libraries. Ligand is Sphingosine-1-phosphate (SPP) Caution: GPR12 is distinct from GPR12A, also known as OGR1, in cluster 3870. Alternate Names: MGC138349, MGC138351, GPCR12, GPCR21, g protein-coupled receptor 12, gpcr21, gpr12.

Specificity
This antibody reacts with G Protein-Coupled Receptor GPR12 (family: GPCR, subfamily: Lysophospholipid/Lysosphingolipid).The immunizing peptide shows 93 % identity (100 % similarity) with mouse

Application Notes
Western Blot. Immunohistochemistry with formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissues: 2-4 ug/ml Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100°C for 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1x TBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. Further Comments: This product was originally produced by MBL International.
