Description Photosystem I (PSI) of chloroplasts is a multisubunit membrane-protein complexthat catalyzes the electron transfer from the reduced plastocyanin (or cytochromec6) in the thylakoid lumen to the oxidized ferredoxin (or flavodoxin) in thechloroplast stroma. PsaN is necessary for docking plastocyanin to the PSIcomplex. PSI-N is the only subunit located entirely on the lumenal side of PSI.
Specificity Predicted reactivity: dicots including Phaseolus vulgaris, Vitis vinifera, monocots including Oryzasativa, Zea mays, deciduous flowering plants including Populus balsamifera. Not reactive in: Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, Synechococcus so. 7942.
