Description
RREB1 (also known as RAS-responsive element bindingprotein 1 and Raf responsivezinc finger protein) is atranscription factor that bindsspecifically to the distal RAS-responsive element (RRE) in the calcitonin gene promoter and augments the Ras/Raf-mediated transcriptional response of that promoter. RREB1 may beinvolved in Ras/Raf-mediated cell differentiation. RREB is a nuclear protein expressed in heart, placenta, lung, liver, skeletalmuscle, kidney and pancreas and is not found in the brain. The protein contains 4 C2H2-type zinc fingers.

Specificity
This Protein A purified antibody is directed against the mouse RREB1 protein. The product wasProtein A purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification followed by cross adsorption against immobilizedGST. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known. Dilutions: ELISA 1:2,000 - 1:10,000 WESTERN BLOT 1:500 - 1:2,000 IF MICROSCOPY User Optimized OTHER APPLICATIONS User Optimized

Application Notes
This Protein A purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and by western blot. Specificconditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a predominant band approximately 90-180 kDa insize corresponding to RREB1 by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. Multiple bands seen in theabove western blot may indicate cross-reactive isoforms or truncated protein products.
