Additional Information

Alternative name CD9
Format Purified
Isotype IgG2b  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone MM2-57
Description Human CD9 CD9 is a 24 kDa member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily (TM4-SF) of cell surface receptors. It is expressed strongly on platelets, lymphoid progenitor cells, activated lymphocytes and endothelia, and, weakly, on eosinophils, granulocytes, monocytes, and macrophages. CD9 functions as an adhesion molecule where it mediates platelet aggregation and activation.

Application Details

Application Notes Working Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: Purified (UNLB) (1 ug/105 cells), Fluorescein (10 L/10^6 cells), R-phycoerythrin (10 L/10^6 cells). Since applications vary, you should determine the optimum working dilution of the product that is appropriate for your specific need.
Storage The purified antibody (UNLB) is supplied as 0.1 mg purified immunoglobulin in 1.0 mL of 100 mM borate buffered saline, pH 8.0. No preservatives or amine-containing buffer salts added. Store at 2-8C. The fluorescein (FITC) conjugate is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3. Store at 2-8C. The R-phycoerythrin (R-PE) conjugate is supplied as 100 tests in 1.0 mL of PBS/NaN3 and a stabilizing agent. Store at 2-8C. Do not freeze! The low endotoxin, azide-free (LE/AF) antibody is supplied as 0.5 mg purified immunoglobulin in 0.2 mL of PBS. Aliquot and store at or below -20C. Protect conjugated forms from light. Aliquot and freeze the low endotoxin, azide-free product at -20C immediately upon receipt. Each reagent is stable for the period shown on the bottle label if stored as directed. WARNING Reagents contain sodium azide which is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copious amounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide-containing compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing.
