Description
Cytokeratins are a subfamily of intermediate filaments and characterized by remarkablebiochemical diversity. Cytokeratins are represented in epithelial tissues by at least 20different polypeptides, molecular weight between 40 kDa and 68 kDa. The individualcytokeratin polypeptides are designated 1 to 20 and divided into the type I (acidiccytokeratins 9-20) and type II (basic to neutral cytokeratins 1-8) families.
Specificity
The antibody C-11 reacts with Cytokeratin peptides 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13, 18. Cytokeratins are amember of intermediate filaments subfamily represented in epithelial tissues.
Application Notes
The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis. It is recommended to use 10-15 µl of antibody conjugate per 10 6 cells (100 µl cell suspension). Since applications vary, the reagent should be titrated for each particular testing system.
Concentration
0.1 mg/ml
Buffer
The reagent is provided in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azideand 0.2% (w/v) high-grade protease free Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a stabilizing agent.
Storage
Store in the dark at 2-8 o C. Do not freeze. Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label.Short-term exposure to room temperature should not affect the quality of the reagent. However, if reagent is stored under any conditions other than those specified, the conditions must be verified by the user.
