Flow Cytometry (FACS), Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p)), Immunoprecipitation (IP)

Clone

MEM-59
  • Specificity

Recognizes neuraminidase-sensitive epitope on CD43 (Leukosialin), a 95-135 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein (mucin-type) which is involved in lymphocyte activation. CD43 is expressed by platelets and at high levels on the surface of all leukocytes. It is negative on resting B lymphocytes and erythrocytes. MEM-59 activates T lymphocytes and also induces apoptosis in hemopoietic progenitor cells.

  • Application Notes

Suitable for use in Flow cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Western blot and Immunohistochemistry (paraffin sections). Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
