Peptide with sequence C-ETFQKVKEKLKIDS, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_001636.1
Description
All names and symbols: APOC1, apolipoprotein C-I. Official Symbol: APOC1. RefSeq number(s): NP_001636.1.
Specificity
Expected from sequence similarity: Human
Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:8000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave bands at 30kDa and 37kDa band in Human Liver lysates after 0.5 µg/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 9.3kDa according to NP_001636.1. The detected bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported? Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Liver shows spotty staining in the cytoplasm of hepatocytes. Recommended concentration, 3-5µg/ml.
